What is the difference between a Career Consultant, an Executive Coach and a Keynote Speaker?
You can hire independent consultants who are among the best qualified and most experienced Career and Executive Coaches in the world.

Contact a career consultant when you are either looking to advance your career while you have a position and want to get a new job, or when you are without work and would like to find a job.
Here at the CFA Institute Career Centre we operate a virtual referral service so that you can hire for yourself many of the very same consultants who have also worked at the world's leading outplacement firms hired by leading corporations.
- Every consultant you see listed here is an INDEPENDENT PRACTITIONER.
- They will provide their services via e-mail, phone or in person where possible as you and they determine.
- Each SETS his/her OWN RATES, FEES and TERMS. You can contact them to discuss your needs and come to an agreement about time and fees by clicking on their individual e-mail address links at the end of their bios.
- How to Pay: Once you have agreed to terms, go back to each coach's bio and make payment by credit card clicking on the payment link. Once payment has been received, our system will notify the consultant you have chosen to hire that payment has been processed, and that he or she can begin working with you to find your next position.

Executive Coaches :
The field of executive coaching has grown exponentially over the last decade because corporations and have discovered that individual coaching is the most effective and efficient method of training and executive development, especially at senior and high-potential levels. Companies -- and increasingly often, individuals -- are therefore willing to make the considerable investment to hire a coach.
Credentials and experience of executive coaches vary widely, particularly because
no central institution regulates the field. Therefore, for CFA Institute, we
have identified and made available some of the best coaches in the world, headlined
by our "marquee" coaches (whose bios are listed under Keynote Speakers) whom
Forbes magazine calls the "Five Most Respected" in the field.
Most of the executive coaches on this referral site are certified in Marshall
Goldsmith's Behavioral Methodology, whose hallmark is "making good people better."
You will see that others are experts who specialize in presentation, communication
skills, image and dress, diversity issues, emotional intelligence, psychological
counseling as it relates to professional issues, and work life balance to list
a few.

You can hire a coach by first discussing with the coach what you want to
accomplish through a coaching program and the issues you face. They may suggest
some targeted sessions or a program that spans many months.
Contact the individual coach by clicking on the coach's e-mail address following his or her biography. Once you have agreed to terms, go back to the biography and click on the payment link and enter your credit card information.
Coaching is commonplace in many companies. You can also arrange to work with one of our coaches and ask your company to sponsor you. Please keep in mind that our "Forbes Five" coaches' fees are commensurate with their reputations. Consequently, though some CEOs and other C-level candidates pay personally, candidates are more typically sponsored for individual coaching by their companies.
