Experience/Background
Jeff is an investment professional with more than 15 years of experience across a wide range of functions and product specializations; research including both buy side and sell side, fixed income, equities, marketing, and management. His current roles include Supervisory Analyst at a brokerage firm and research/consulting in the area of High Net Worth investing.
Mr. Evans has worked in investment firms ranging in size from a dozen or so employees, to a global banking firm with hundreds offices in more than 60 countries. He is a frequent speaker at industry events on topics ranging from career development for professionals at all stages of their careers, to the future impact of changes in regulation upon the structure of the securities industry.
Jeff’s publications include numerous investment reports and industry analyses for his employers as well as investment commentaries in several trade publications, including the Journal of Wealth Management, Private Wealth Management, the Daily Deal, CFO Magazine, and Marketing News. He is a frequent speaker at industry conferences, including the NASD Institute for Professional Development, where he addresses Analyst Issues and Regulatory Responsibilities.
He has served as a leader of the New York Society of Security Analysts (NYSSA), most recently as its President and Interim Chief Executive. He has also served as New York Region Presidents Council Representative (PCR) to the Board of Governors of the CFA Institute. He is active in his local analyst society programming, having been a member of its Career Development Committee since his arrival in New York, and has received its Volunteer of the Year award three times.
